Domaine Gavignet-Béthanie

Who are we?

The Gavignet-Béthanie estate, nestled in Nuits-Saint-Georges, embodies a rich family history. Founded through the union of two winemaking families, the Gavignets and the Béthanies, it carries generations of expertise and passion for vines and wine.

Now led by Christine and Claire, the fourth generation, the estate blends tradition with modernity. Proud of their creations, they regularly participate in the prestigious Féminis competition, which highlights excellence in winemaking from a female perspective.

With 9 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces a wide range of wines, from whites to reds, including elegant sparkling wines. A truly feminine winemaking adventure, where conviviality and quality are at the heart of each vintage, delighting Burgundy wine lovers and connoisseurs alike.

Wines with a feminine touch!

With Pépé Marcel, Pépé Gaby, Christian, Michèle, Christine, and then Claire, the estate’s wines have changed in temperament. They have, it seems, slipped towards more femininity. Logical, some might say? Not necessarily. Because for the girls, these are above all wines that they like and that they enjoy making. Deep aromas, very present fruit, freshness, and balance: the wines of the Gavignet-Béthanie estate no longer intend to be overpowered, quite the opposite. Aged in oak barrels (new and old) for 12 to 18 months depending on the vintage and the year, they are then bottled on site, in Nuits-Saint-Georges by Christine and Claire. Two years after the harvest, they will delight regulars of the estate and lovers of Burgundy wines. With white, red, rosé, and not forgetting sparkling wines, the Gavignet-Béthanie sisters now offer their own interpretation of the Côte de Nuits.
